CONTESTS Depending on the competition, screenwriting contests can be an
excellent way to get exposure for your script — in addition to
collecting some prize money. Placing or winning a reputable
screenwriting contest is a fantastic accomplishment to add to a query
letter or resume. After all, development directors and agents love to
know someone else in the industry has already put a stamp of approval
on the script. Just make sure that the prize is worth the entry fee,
and pick and choose which to enter based on the type of script you
wrote. Rhode Island Film Festival Screenplay CompetitionTue 09/07/2010
