CONTESTS Depending on the competition, screenwriting contests can be an
excellent way to get exposure for your script — in addition to
collecting some prize money. Placing or winning a reputable
screenwriting contest is a fantastic accomplishment to add to a query
letter or resume. After all, development directors and agents love to
know someone else in the industry has already put a stamp of approval
on the script. Just make sure that the prize is worth the entry fee,
and pick and choose which to enter based on the type of script you
wrote. Fade In: Three ContestsWed 03/09/2011

Scriptsation is a great opportunity for screenwriters around the world (18+). Winning scripts will not only be judged on originality and development, but also on the scripts ability to be a successful production (whether or not it can feasibly be brought to life and it chances for success).
